Stone Honeycomb Panel is a new type of composite materials, which has natural thin layer of natural stone glued to a substrate material of honeycomb panel.
Natural stone slabs are heavy and fragile, with a honeycomb panel (hexagonal structure) as substrate panel the whole structure becomes strong but light weighted.
The ultra-lightweight feature of stone honeycomb panels for exterior cladding, such as stone veneer panels, offers significant cost savings. Compared to thick solid stone slabs, these panels with honeycomb reinforcement weigh only 1/3 of the solid ones. This reduction in weight reduces the overall dead load of the exterior façade, resulting in substantial cost savings. Additionally, their large format and lightweight nature enable three times faster installation compared to solid stone, leading to additional savings in installation time and cost.
